I'm a giant idiot.

Like huge.

I was driving home from work today and just as I pulled off the interstate, my car stalled (It's an automatic, they aren't supposed to stall.).

So I called my mom, who called AAA, who called me. AAA sent a wrecker truck. And the wrecker truck took me to the nearest Chevy dealership, where my mom met me.

Oh and when I say stalled I mean slowly died, so that when I put my foot on the gas the car got slower. And then it stopped moving. So I restarted it. Yeah, no. Didn't restart.

And when I say sent a wrecker truck I mean two. Cause AAA gave the wrong location to the first one. So the wrecker service (45min later) called to see if I still needed help because they couldn't find me. It took the 2nd one a good hour to get to me. The lady promised me 15min.

So mom met me at the dealership. With a gallon of gas because I thought there might be the tiniest possibility that I was out of gas. My gas light had come on on my way to work. I hadn't driven more than 10 miles.

Guess what?

My car really wanted the gas.

To be exact it wanted 16 gallons of gas. (My car only takes 15). And with current gas prices.... so glad mom was there to help out.

And I feel like a complete idiot.

On the other hand, during the 2 hours that I sat on the side of the road, 9 people asked if I needed help. Most of them looked as though they had daughters my age. There are some nice people out there. It could help that I am female and that I look like I am about 18.

Now that I think of it. My gas light came on for a second yesterday when I went to get something from Chadin's work. But it went away really fast so I didn't think that I had to get gas right then.

OOPS. Maybe it did.
